Chilled Out Hotpoint

  • Excerpt: We have had this fridge freezer since we moved into our house about six years ago and it has never caused us any problems at all. The Freezer The freezer has four drawers and they are all actual drawers rather than some of them being the spaces with a pull down front. They feel quite sturdy and even the plastic on the front of them does. The bottom drawer is a little bit deeper than the others which is good.
  • Pros: "Good quality", "Good capacity", "Good size"
  • Cons: "Water under salad trays", "Sticky doors"

Frost free for me in future.

  • Excerpt: When I was on the look out for a new fridge there was one main concern for us - it had to be a slim one or it wouldn't fit into the only slot in the kitchen where a fridge could possibly go. Buying a big fridge was completely out of the question- or the kitchen would have to be remodelled. Not an option at the time. So I searched around for a slim fridge-freezer - from a brand I trusted. The Hotpoint RFA2 fit the bill.

  • Excerpt: I ordered my Hotpoint Fridge Freezer shortly after moving into my apartment purchasing at the retail price of £240. I had a small space in my kitchen to fit the unit and the fridge freezers dimensions of 545x580mm I had no problems in installing the unit. The unit measures up at 1740mm tall and can use the space above for a top shelf to store various cook books etc. I bought our unit in white.

  • Excerpt: My wife and I have owned our silver Hotpoint RFA52 Iced Diamond fridge freezer for some 4 years since we purchased it and apart from the odd surface dent from its many knocks during our house moves has changed very little in operation of appearance. In saying that very little has changed with price either - it was around £300 when we bought it and can still be found online for around £250 today although it is a little difficult as it has been superceded by newer models...

  • Excerpt: When I moved into my house, there was a fridge/freezer already in the kitchen and came included with the house. At first I thought this was great as it saved me having to shop for a fridge soon after moving in. However, after having switched the fridge on and waiting for 24 hours, it was obvious that it was not going to get cold.

Good value for money from a trusted brand, few minor quirks, but overall good appliance

  • Excerpt: We purchased this last year when old Fridge/Freezer finally lost it's battle and died on us. Bascially, it was everything we were looking for in a fridge?freezer. Tall, but not too tall, not too wide, as we have limited space in the kitchen. A good sized freezer, a reliable make, and a price tag under £300. It performs perfectly well as a Fridge/Freezer, we have had to 'technical' issues with it ........ touch wood.

  • Excerpt: Whilst this fridge was not one that I had chosen as it was given to us by my husbands parents when they re modelled their kitchen and decided to change their fridges, I was please to receive it and I am very pleased with it's performance and would recommend it. One problem of inheriting this fridge freezer was my in laws had lost the instruction manual so it has been a bit tricky to find out some of the details of the fridge freezer.

  • Excerpt: Like with any new appliance there can be a lot of umm-ing and aah-ing about which to choose. We knew we needed and all in one fridge freezer because our kitchen a bit on the small side. So that narrowed it down a little, well a lot actually. There are only a certain amount of fridge freezers with a width we could actually have.

  • Excerpt: I recently moved in my first home and had to buy a Fridge Freezer for the first time. We knew the type we wanted, a free standing Fridge Freezer with a good sized freezer, preferably costing less than £300. It did prove quite difficult finding one in that price range that had a good sized freezer, a lot of them were small with large fridges.

A good buy

  • Excerpt: The freezer section of my old fridge-freezer went and my Mum bought me a new one for Christmas in 2008 so I've had this product just over a year now. I think this is the main downside of an all in one, if one section goes you have to buy another whole appliance, but space wise it makes sense for me to have a fridge freezer so that's what I went for.
