Summary: If I could give this a Zero I would.Ours stopped working properly last October 2013. Said if the room temp was below 15 degrees it will stop working and switch the fast freeze on...Well it's almost June and warm and hey the fridge is still not working... I have put a temperature gauge in the fridge department... it's normally around 15/16 degrees, and quite often a wooping 18/22 DEGREES! Warmer than my frontroom...and as for the freezer, don't get me started on that!
Summary: I wish I had read these reviews before ordering my Hotpoint Quadrio! The fridge is a nightmare, within the first month of use the noise began. I called Hotpoint and they told me that if their engineers came out and found no fault I would be charged. This put me off from booking the appointment. This morning about 5.20am I was awaken by the most frightening noise I have every experienced inside a building, it sounded like a jumbo jet was trying to take off in my flat.
Summary: Had my quadrio for 2 years makes very loud bang/ cracking dog is scared to death of going in kitchen everything else ok though I don't think hotpoint should say this is normal when it clearly isn't .
Summary: Bought mine from Currys Falkirk, reported it for loud noises within a couple of weeks, waited over a week for engineer who needs his lugs testing, said that the loud annoying unbearable noises were normal and if I called him out again I would be charged for it and also I was to get used to it, he said it will get worse when it starts freezing up and the heater has to come on, I think these fridge freezers should be put into shipping cartons and dumped at the bottom of...
Summary: poor is understatement, called engineer after purchasing, he said loud noises are normal, I asked why they are not on display and switched on so people can see and hear what they are purchasing and the engineer said because nobody would buy them
Summary: First one I had exploded and caught fire after a year. It took 10 weeks for Hotpoint to replace it. New model freezes up with ice and there is a very loud whirring motor noise coming from the back - like someone is trying to start a motor bike in my dining room. I daren't go out and leave it switched on now, in case the same thing happens again and it burns the house down. You'd be a fool to buy this thing!
