A fantastic fridge that keeps food really well and has lots of nice features you'll actually use

Excerpt: We bought the Hotpoint FF200EG to go in our new kitchen as it matches the Hotpoint washing machine and to some degree the built in oven and overall look of the kitchen. Fridges are big and this is no exception but it blends into the room nicely. The fridge section is large and fits everything that you need it to.
Excerpt: Bought this product about July 2006 and it seems like every six too five months the freezer freezes up which stops the fridge from working properly. then it ended up with small hole in the cavity of the freezer and was replaced with a new one in August 2007. Three months on had to ring them this morning to say the fridge on working again. Personally I think there should be a recall on this product causing it`s getting ridiculous.
Excerpt: Brought this over a year ago. The first week the door fell off onto my husband. We got a replacement (fridge freezer, not husband) after much wrangling with hotpoint. 6 months later the freezer froze up and stopped the fridge working. An engineer came out and de-frosted it. 6 months later it happened again, an engineer came out again and `fixed` the now known problem with a new valve. 3 months on again it has now again stopped working.
Excerpt: Bought one of these last year (July 2006) and almost immediately the freezer section iced up - even though it is meant to be frost free, and the fridge stopped working. Called the engineer who said the seal round the freezer door was incorrectly fitting, so the motor was constantly working sucking in warm air and the whole motor unit etc had frozen solid so the fridge had stopped working.
Excerpt: Bought this fridge freezer in december 2006. March 2006 the alarms on it went bonkers. Then I woke up the next day all my food was soft in the freezer and the fridge was warm. Before this I thought the size was great bottle rack etc. Now im stuck with no fridge or freezer for the next week.I dont think companies think this is a priority and drag there feet for as long as possible.
Excerpt: We purchased this fridge in Jan 07 and it been nothing but a problem. We have had an engineer come over 7 times in the last 6 months and they finally decided to replace it, guess what with!?! Another FF200E! I`m glad I had insurance otherwise I would have not been able to afford all the call outs. As for the engineers...they take 1 week to visit you! Not nice when its 25 degrees outside and you have no where to store your food! Terrible fridge, terrible service!
Excerpt: AGAIN LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE IVE UNFORTUNATELY GOT ONE OF THEESE-WITH A PROBLEM! WE BOUGHT IT 2 YEARS AGO.LATELY MY MILK THAT USUALY LIVES IN THE DOOR COMPARTMENT HAS BEEN GOING OFF VERY QUICKLY-I THOUGHT MY GROCERS WERE NOT COOLING IT PROPERLY DURING THE DELIVERIES. THE ALARMS HAVE BEEN GOING OFF AS WELL AS ALL MY FOOD.
Excerpt: Sounds like all of the previous were lucky, at least their`s worked. Mine would not even switch on in the first place, rang their service people, had some stupid woman ask me if I`d plugged it in yet, told her no, I`d left it wrapped up in the front garden, and was I supposed to bring it indoors?
Excerpt: Have same problem with Fridge trying to talk to us (Beep Beep Beep)! and also defrosted all our food! called engineer out who appeared 1 week later to be told we need a new part so have to wait yet another week! Surprise Surprise the unit is just over 14 months old so yes we have to pay!!!
Excerpt: I bought this fridge freezer in 2006, 6 months later it froze up and like other people I was told it should be defrosted regularly and that there was no such thing as a no frost freezer, and I have had to defrost approx 6 times in the last 2 years.I am considering kicking it into touch and getting a new one a different make of course.I read about the new valve that could be fitted but it and thought I would ring hotpoint and see if I could get one fitted but it seems that...
