Have had 2...both stopped cooling

osu_buckeye_alum, Amazon
24 February 2011
  • Summary: I have had two Haier wine coolers now. The first, I had sent the warranty card in for and it stopped cooling within the 1 year period. It was an absolute nightmare to get Haier to replace it under warranty, but I finally succeeded.

Good while it lasted

FamilyLost "yliser", Amazon
7 November 2010
  • Summary: I loved this wine cooler until it died on me me. It continues to click like the temperature is trying to adjust, but it is not cooling at all. The LED lights work, but that is about it. I received it as a gift about three years ago.

Will stop working after 2-3 years

Prof HC "novalis", Amazon
28 May 2010
  • Summary: This is a handsome wine cooler and works fine while it works. But like many other owners, mine died after 3 years. The lifespan for the condenser on this Haier product seems to be 2-3 years.

Perfect for storing my wine

R. Buchanan "happyrobot", Amazon
21 June 2008
  • Summary: I have had this cooler for a couple of months now, and it has worked great. The temperature stays consistent. It's relatively quiet (minor compressor noise when it turns on). And depending on the shapes of the bottle, you can fit more than 30 bottles in - I think I have 38 in there.

A must for any wine enthusiast!

James Hutchings, Amazon
2 February 2007
  • Summary: I've had this bad boy for a year now and I love it. It's been through two moves in that year, and it's still running strong. The cons: First, yes - there's a slight hum and gurgling every now and then. If you have a regular fridge right now, you'll be fine with the noise output of this unit.

So far so good

CC, Amazon
15 September 2006
  • Summary: I read the other reviews and ended up buying the wine cooler at Lowes, which was cheaper than anywhere else I had looked. It was the last model at Lowes and I bought the one on display for 30% the retail price of $268, so am very happy with the price.

Buy cheaper elsewhere!!

MauiJim, Amazon
4 January 2006
  • Summary: I give it 4-stars because so far it seems to work like it says it's supposed to. It's very attractive with the two-tone paneling & smokey glass and is a good size. Though, it's not a wine frige with all the bells & wistles.

Colleen Damico, Amazon

Too difficult to get fixed to make this worth buying!!!

Karen M. Kilty, Amazon
9 November 2004
  • Summary: I recently ordered and received this wine cooler. Unfortunately the cooling unit was broken upon delivery. Following Amazon's recommendation, I directly contacted the manufacturer. They gave me a list of 9 different repair people within my area. I called all 9.

Another - "Good while it lasts"

TonyJF, Amazon
24 August 2004
  • Summary: I've had mine for about 2 years with no complaints at all. Yes, the temperature fluctuates a little too much, and yes it does make a (quiet) gurgling sound, but for the price you can't do better. Until the other day when I noticed that the unit had shut itself off completely.
