Summary: Had this unit for about 5 months and love it . I have a older home and it fits the countertop depth nicely. The only downside if you want to call it that, is that the ice maker takes quite awhile to fill the ice tray. It makes 1 tray every 4-5 hours. Overall I really like it.
Summary: I bought this fridge to fit the original cabinet in my 54 year old house. There are only a couple counter depth fridges that are less than 34"w x 69"h -- this one, and one by Samsung. I far prefer the way this one looks (real stainless, square corners), and this one has more useful storage. I've had it for several months now and it is very quiet, energy efficient and has plenty of space for my groceries.
Summary: Carlgo said it all. I just wanted to confirm what he said about the noise: ours rarely makes any at all. It seems to turn on in the middle of the night; if I'm already awake, it can sound a little loud against the background of a silent house. I never notice any noise during the day. We've had our FP fridge for two years and I still love it (I don't normally love my appliances).
Summary: I bought this fridge 3 years ago after moving from a house where I had a much more expensive 27" wide, counter depth, 2 drawer bottom freezer SubZero, which I loved. This refrigerator is just about as good, for a fraction of the price. I love the size, and how easy it is to keep clean. It is also very quiet. I know many Americans like BIG refrigerators, so this 17 cu ft would not be for them.
Summary: No, I had not heard of this brand either when I went out looking for a refrigerator to replace my 30 year old GE. Our problem is space. Even though I certainly wouldn't mind a huge Viking or something, the reality was around 18 cu ft. I went all over the place, looked at every brand and found that most companies spent their best efforts on the bigger models. Then, I saw a Fisher and Paykell.
Summary: We've had this refrigerator for several years. The first reviewer said it all. We also went looking for a smaller, freezer bottom fridge and found that (at least in the US) the larger ones were the quality ones. We wanted smaller but quality. Hmmmmm.... Never heard of this one but took a chance and am very happy several years later.
Summary: Two of my igniters stopped working on my 9yr.old range. When I called Fisher Paykel they referred me to a couple different repair companies, I had both companies come out ($300.00 cost) both told me the same thing - the unit could not be repaired due to a design flaw. When I contacted Fisher Paykel to ask for their help (for a total of 6 months) they refused to do anything due to it being 9yrs. old.
Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!!!! Approximately seven years ago we purchased a Fisher Paykel washer from a local Lowes. At that time I really liked the idea of using less water. The change from a regular dial machine to electronic push button seemed like a nice update. I will say that the ONLY thing I like about this machine was that the spin cycle was very efficient and the clothes had much less moisture resulting in far less drying time in the clothes dryer.
Summary: THIS IS THE WORST PRODUCT I HAVE EVER PURCHASED!!!! AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AT FISHER PAYKEL IS WORSE THAN ANY CUSTOMER CARE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. SAVE YOUR MONEY GO WITH KITCHEN AID OR KENNMORE DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IT'S A PIECE OF JUNK. TEMP DOESN'T STAY COLD AND MANY WIRE ISSUES.
