Fagor is Bankrupt

piero, AJ Madison
18 July 2014
  • Summary: Fagor is bankrupt but AJ Madison is still selling the product. I bought the refrigerator and it had a 1 year warranty. I did not expect that the unit would break down in 18 months. When I called AJ Madison about it they told me that I should have taken insurance out on it. I told them a refrigerator sits on the floor and does not get abused That means that they are selling a product that they say they cannot guarantee more than 12 months. After that you are on your own.

When space is an issue!

  • Summary: We remodeled our kitchen and space for a refrigerator was scarce. So much so that a kitchen designer told us we could not have a refrigerator in our kitchen. That's when I found Fagor and this refrigerator model. We redesigned our kitchen around it and so far are very pleased.

Love this fridge

  • Summary: I did quite a bit of research and was torn between Fagor and the German one. Ultimately I went with Fagor because it has a higher quality overall. The shelves are better finished, the handle is metal not plastic, it's quite roomy too. The freezer has plenty of space. It's counter depth which is great and it has killer looks. Best of all it's very quiet. I highly recommend it for the city kitchen that has limited space and for up to 2 people.

Great looking.

  • Summary: This unit was purchased for an 1890s mountain house with a retro kitchen remodel . The styling looks fantastic in the space and the storage is excellent considering its size. The ice tray makes tiny little elf like cubes but larger trays are easily used. I have not owned it long enough to say how it will operate in the future , but it looks awesome. I would prefer they get rid of the digital controls on the door and do it the old fashioned way, But that's just me.
