Excerpt: I have had this refrigerator for less than two years, and I just finished paying $260 to replace the ice maker. The licensed repair person who was referred by Electrolux told me that the need to replace icemakers in these models is quite common. This is not acceptable. Also, I need to spend more money to replace the air filter and water filter on an annual basis just to maintain this refrigerator per the manual.
Worst product and service from Electrolux ever experienced
29 June 2014
Summary: This refrigerator has not worked from the first few days and more went wrong every few days after and a month later it is still not working. In short after many hours on the phone and broken promises from Electrolux it still does not work and is awaiting yet another service call. If you want the details read on if not just avoid the company and especially this product at all costs!
Excerpt: The refrigerator has exceeded expectations. We particularly like the ease with which temperatures are set and controlled in the freezer and refrigeration sections. The lighting is good, making the product easy to clean. It is our first French door refrigerator, and we are pleased with our selection.
Excerpt: I like the space in both the fridge and the freezer. I also appreciate the controls on the door instead of on the top of the fridge frame. Much easier to reach. I love the look of the french doors and the overall size. The only things I don't care for is the noise the ice maker makes and the constant sound of the motor running.
Summary: Fridge arrived with quite a bit of packing. It took a couple hours just to unpack it, mostly removing the film that was on every exterior surface. Once I got it in place, I noticed that the freezer door was out of alignment. But the instructions had a section on straightening things out and everything is working. It is very quiet, but there is a low hum coming from the back when it is working.
Excerpt: The design is excellent - the indicators on the edge of the doors; the LED lights; the flexibility of the shelves and door shelves - all cry out quality and attention to detail. We haven't had it long enough for us to be able to comment on energy efficiency, but I suspect it will be a significant improvement over the one it replaced.
Excerpt: Over last three years, we've been looking for a larger refrigerator (22 cubic ft vs 19) that could still fit in the existing space and would not stick out more than our previous one. All the refrigerators that we could find were too high and/or too wide, as well as too deep. Then, we started to look at counter-depth refrigerators, and discovered that, among them, the Electrolux was the only one meeting all our requirements. My wife loves it.
