Sony STR-DG820 is a 7.1 channel Home Theater A/V Receiver which provider users a full HD 1080p experience. This  A/V Receiver uses HDMI combined with "Active Intelligence" and its 1080/24p capability makes it compatible with Blu-ray Disc Players.

The STR-DG820 is also equipped with a DIGITAL MEDIA PORT (DMP) connection which allows users to play music directly from iPods, PC and other music players like Walkman which may require additional accessories(sold separately).  Its Digital Cinema Auto Calibration technology automatically calibrates speaker placements, distance, and delays.
