Denon AVR-4308CI 7.1 Receiver
Reviewer: hometheaterhifi.com09 April 2008Personally, there are two major things I associate with a receiver bearing the Denon brand name: feature-richness and quality performance. The AVR-4308CI exemplifies both of these characteristics to a tee. As you can tell from the body of this review, the 4308CI is not wanting for any feature. Basically if it is out there, this unit has it. From the network functions, to the audio codecs, to the video processing, you won't be left wishing there were something else... Read more

Denon AVR-4308CI A/V Receiver
Reviewer: ultimateavmag.com01 February 2008The time I spent with this receiver has proven once again that Denon is one of the leading manufacturers of AVRs. The one caveat I feel compelled to mention is its similarity to the lower-priced AVR-3808CI. The AVR-4308CI has a bit more power and some additional features, such as WiFi, HD Radio, and some configuration options that the AVR-3808CI lacks. Other differences include Advanced AL24 on all channels compared with AL24+ on the front right and left, two HDMI out... Read more

Test Bench: Denon AVR-4308CI A/V Receiver
Reviewer: soundandvisionmag.com08 January 2008's AVR-4308CI impressed, with very good power results, and virtually perfect noise and linearity performance. Power with stereo channels driven handily bettered Denon's 140 watts spec, and performance with 5 channels driven was only a scant half-dB shy of that mark, at 126 watts. S/N on PCM signal was spot on the theoretically "perfect" mark on our dithered-silence test, and a couple tenths "better than perfect" with Read more

Extremely difficult to use
Reviewer: mrhoads, Bestbuy14 May 2008- Overall 4

"I am a computer programmer and have been setting up electronics for 30 years. I have never had a more difficult device to set up. The manual may be good for an expert on the Denon 4308 but is no help if you are trying to learn. There appear to be many multiple keys to hit to do things and the manual does not give them. I have been using it for a week and just got it to a position that took me over an hour to get out of. It may be a great box but because it is so diff... Read more
