The Denon AVR-3808 is a home theater audio/visual receiver. It is XM Satellite Radio ready and has and 8-channel external analog output. It uses Audessey Laboratories’ MultEQ XT eight-point auto setup and also has a room calibration system. The product has iPod integration feature but requires an optional Denon ASD-1R for connection. It has a width of 17.1 inches, a height of 6.7 inches, a depth of 16.5 inches and it weighs only 39.2 pounds.
Technical Details
The Denon AVR-3808 has 7 channels with 130 watts per channel. It has a surround sound and uses Cinema EQ as an audio output effect. It also uses the following built in decoders: Dolby Pro Logic IIx, DTS-HD decoder, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Pro Logic, Dolby TrueHD, DTS Neo:6, DTS-ES Matrix 6.1, Dolby Pro Logic II, DTS-ES Discrete 6.1, Dolby Digital Surround EX, Dolby Digital, and DTS decoders. It has digital tuner technology and like most receivers supports AM and FM radio bands.

Replaced my Harman Kardon dpr 2001 with the 3808 and I've got to say even though it sounds great HK was better..but I also have to add that Denon has a lot more to offer as its very up-to-date with technology...one thing that both I and many other people agree is that the setup and the main remote are very complicated... I am glad that I've bought it...yes I am...will I recomend it, sure I would...but if you can afford it go 1 up and get the 4803 as it has wireless co... Read more
