Summary: I had my maytag gemini for less than 3 years and the electronic mother board went. This oven was hardly ever used since it is a second oven. Luckily it was still under warranty. However, the warranty expired a year later and the same part went again. I purchased a repair plus one year warranty for $353.00 only to find out the part is not available at all. I am only receiving a little over $400 to buy a new stove and a refund for the warranty.
Summary: The electronic control panel on our Maytag Gemini went out in less than two years. It's a $250 part, but we have to junk the entire oven because a lack of a part number on the control panel. Several calls to Maytag have resulted in, "We are really sorry but we can’t tell you the part number because there are so many versions". I would not purchase this product.
Summary: Have had the Gemini for three years. Yesterday the lower oven quit. The upper oven is very awkward to use. The glass top surface is a nightmare. RUST on the oven doors. My last stove was a 1955 Maytag and it was a jewel. I wish I had kept it, but my husband thought I should get a new one after all this time. The Maytag quality has been a big let-down. The knobs along the side really takes away from space on top also.
Summary: Comments: As I was asked. How to use the product? There is not much mistery on how to use a range. Things that are great about it? It looks nice. Things that aren't so great about it? Here you go. Amana Gas Range model: MGR6875ADS, purchased March 2005 at Home Depot. At first month, rust appeared at the stainless steel doors, at the sixth month the control panel stopped working and was replaced due to warped plastic fascia, when it was replaced I complained to Whirpool...
Summary: The five burners are an added plus and it's so great to be cooking with gas again after an eight year horror with an electric range. The double ovens are terrific and the porcelain top wonderfully easy to clean.
