Summary: We purchased this range in May of 2006. We are in love with it. We've had no problems other than having to replace the circuitry panel (under warranty) because we used windex to clean it. The installer advised that you are not supposed to and that it will void the warranty if it fails. He installed it under warranty, anyway. Now, we only wipe with the damp discloth. Never had a problem with cleaning the oven.
Summary: This range is nice to look at and it works very well. However there are some things that kitchenaid should have address when building this range. We have had it now for about four months and still have a hard time turning on the front left burner, its a two stage burner the first stage turns on like any other range but try turning on the second stage (large burner) most of the time it dosen't go on, so keep trying and sooner or later you will get it.
Summary: We purchased this Kitchen Aid Oven about 3 years ago. From the very start we had problems with it! Service calls were terrible and repairs extremely expensive. The range top still works, but the oven has been non-functional for a while now. We always thought Kitchen-Aid products were the best. If you use your oven everyday like we do, you'll be shocked at the limited lifespan of this product. We expected to get at least 10 years of everyday service at the minimum.
Summary: I have owned this range for 16 months and have had not one problem with it's performance. I really like that the oven vents on top in the rear between the burners because it is a convenient place to put a pot to just stay warm, but not keep cooking. The only thing which I would consider a problem is the difficulty in cleaning the porcelain cook top without scratching it. Perhaps someone could respond with a solution.
