Not At All Impressed - Features Flashy But Designed Poorly
4 October 2014
Excerpt: Have had this oven for about 4 months now, and have had to calibrate the temperature for both upper and lower several times. I have found that the large burner is unable to boil any faster than the others at all. Though the middle griddle burner appealed to my gullible husband, we have yet to use it without food burning in spots, and it seriously restricts which cookware I can use simultaneously.
Caution: if you are likely to experience extended power outages

Excerpt: We bought this almost a year ago and in terms of its primary functions, it is pretty good. The ovens are accurate, the burners give good control and once you get used to the controls, they are fairly intuitive. There is only one thing I wish worked differently and would have liked to have known before we bought. Unlike the Whirlpool this replaced and most other gas Kitchenaids, this will not work in a power outage.
Excerpt: I BOUGHT IS RANGE IN WHITE ABOUT 2 YRS AGE AND HAVE HAD PROBLEMS SINCE. THE ENAMEL IS EITHET PEELING OR BURNING OFF, THE IGNITION SWITCHES HAD TO BE REPLACED 4 TIMES AND I HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN TOMORROW, THE FRONT PANEL WHERE THE TURN KNOBS ARE HAD TO BE REPLACED AFTER A COUPLE OF MONTHS BECAUSE THE ENAMEL BURNED NEAR THE BURNER. THE TOP OVEN IS OFF BY 25 DEG. AND CANNOT BE REG. VERY FRUSTRATING.
Excerpt: I had this oven in my last house for a year and it was great. When I bought it for my new house, nothing has worked. It had an internal gas leak, problems with the burners lighting. The ovens do not seem to get up to the right temperature even though numerous parts have been replaced. Next week will be my second appointment for the convection feature.
Summary: This is a great product in theory, but the customer service from KitchenAid is so bad I would strongly recommend looking at a different brand. My top oven does not heat evenly on the left and right side. When I put in a pan of bacon, half of it is over crispy and the other half is very slimy. Rolls burned on half the pan and undercooked on the other half. I have had a service person out five times and they say the same thing every time.
Summary: Top broiler won't stay lit. Goes off after a pan is placed into the oven. Seems like it senses overheating. Called Kitchenaid and they wouldn't help. They just wanted to sell me a service contract. After 18 months the top oven died completely. Called for service and they replaced and ignitor. That fixed the bake but not the broil so they replaced the top ignitor and ordered a new gas valve (still waiting).
This product is not worth the money...CHEAP>>>CHEAP

Excerpt: This product is made cheap...I had a Jennair dble oven before this and had to leave it at the house I'm selling. This stove top has cheap brushed metal on top and does not clean up very nice. To expensive for what you get....The oven...the temp is off have to put a oven Thermometer inside so I know what the temp is. Very disappointing..ugh! Wish I could return it.....
Excerpt: I am very disappointed with this stove. You can not simmer at all. it also heats up very slow, my sons electric stoves boils 3X faster then this does. And the upper oven is 50 degrees lower than the temperature indicated on the panel. I have wanted a gas stove for many years and finally got one and now wish for an electric one. I waited too long to return and had a service man out and he said there is nothing I can do about.
Summary: AMOST ALWAYS dissappointed with stove. brown around burners hard to clean and shows every crumb. Haven't been able to use oven cleaner for full cycle cause kitchen gets way too hot, even in winter. Like having gas for instant heat. Would trade today.
Pros: Attractive Design
Cons: Difficult To Clean, Doesn't broil even, Griddle not hot, Griddle too small, Heats slowly, Lrg burner doesn't simmer, Messy, Particles in window new, Tops too small
Summary: This was installed by Lowe's. First: while the stovetop worked I was not impressed with either the center burner or the power burner. The center flame was too small to ever get the grill plate to char anything and the features say the power burner is supposed to boil water faster--while the flame is big it took as long or longer to boil water than the 30 year old stove that it replaced.
