  • Summary: Loved the look of this oven, but the cheap melting knobs have turned me off. I paid top dollar for this and now the knobs melt and peel? Shame on GE!!

Like it but vastly annoyed by the melting knobs

SPV Gardens, Amazon

  • Summary: I've had this range for about a year and a half, and it's been pretty good. We use LP as the fuel. I do like the convection; things bake faster with it. Although if I had it to do over I would probably go with straight gas and save the extra money the dual fuel costs.

Does not brown evenly like supposed to.

  • Summary: I purchased this oven specifically for the convection. It's advertised it will brown evenly on multiple racks. It does NOT. I've had several technicians come and look at it, but they've all told me they cannot do anything for it.

Glass touch control panel isn't back-lit

  • Summary: I bought a GE Profile range three years ago, and the glass touch control panel was back-lit. This was a great feature because the buttons are hard to see against the black background. Well, we moved, so I bought another GE Profile range. This time I got a dual fuel.

Gas-Convection: There's Nothing Like It

Ethan Winning "Ethan Winning", Amazon

  • Summary: Having had electric ranges for the 45 years we've been married, this was a first for us in many ways. Gas burners heat all things on the store much faster than we had experienced, and that takes some getting used to. First, be very careful about handling the grates after cooking on top.
