Loud, Hard to Program, Works Fine

  • Summary: We have used this oven for over a year and have come to hate it. It is way too loud -- a fan runs constantly to cool the electronic controls when it is on. It is not an exhaust fan, but just a fan to keep the oven from cooking its own components. Though highly programmable, it takes 20 to 50 key strokes to set -- even for a simple "bake" at 175 degrees -- and it is too complicated with seven buttons and no number pad or dial.

  • Summary: "I've had this range for about 4 months, and I'm quite happy with it. I previously owned a GE coil "drop in" range, and after 15 years needed a replacement. I considered buying a smooth top range, but since I use iron skillets, I decided to go with the coils so I didn't have to worry about scratching the top. It has a fan in the oven that runs quite a bit, but isn't loud. This range has proven to be a reliable, attractive, quality stove.
