Excerpt: I purchase the GE Cafe stove, microwave and dishwasher a little over 4 years ago. They are beautiful and I really love the way the function. HOWEVER, I have already had to dispose of the microwave because the control panel went out and it was going to cost $500 to replace it. (that doesn't include labor) Now the stove control panel is malfunctioning and I am going to have to replace it. Who knows how much that will cost. For "high end" appliances, I am VERY DISAPPOINTED to have to pay all these costly repairs after such a short time. I feel it's a defect in the product yet GE refuses to admit it. I have read numerous reviews stating that others have had the same problems...some even within the first year. My advice to anyone buying these products would be to get a very long extended warranty. I purchased a 4 year warranty and the problems started 3 months after it expired. I guess I'm screwed! :/ I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER GE PRODUCT!!!!!! AND I KNOW MANY WHO SAY THE SAME THING!!
