Summary: I bought this range recently and had it installed in a remodeled kitchen. It looks great, works great but the cooktop stains and marks way TOO easily. I have had a ceramic top range for years in another home and it was Samsung and the glass didn't have a mark on it. We cook on it once per day and have a small family but if a splash or spill goes over, it is a frantic sprint to wait for it to cool and clean it.
Summary: Getting used to the glass top. With all the warnings, I was a little afraid to use it, but so far it has cleaned right up. The burners are a little unpredictable. High doesn't seem very high, and low is too high. The oven is fabulous. I had this design before, so I like having the auxiliary oven on the left. The door on that small oven has never worked properly, though. Not a smooth open/close, and it doesn't prop open in the broil position.
Summary: Just remodeled Kitchen. There isn't gas service where I live and I wanted a 40 inch commercial like range. Found this one and love it. The look with the commercial 42 inch hood I found makes a real statement. I am a serious home chef and baker and totally love the convection oven. I have cooked with gas much longer and really do like it better than electric, but have gotten used to electric and this range meets and exceeds my needs.
Summary: I am remodeling my kitchen and replaced a 1950's dual oven drop in form Frigidaire. It was a really nice oven/range from the 50's and we always received compliments on it since it was very unique. It also was 40 inch. So we looked for another 40 inch range to replace it and this was fit the bill. I wanted to go with Gas cooking on top and the electric convection oven below. So far it is a great buy.
Summary: I had to get this size oven to replace one that fit between the cabinets. I just had to get into the habit of using the small side oven for baking, not just storage. Not having to heat up the large oven for a small pan of biscuits is great! I didn't know if I would like the flat top cooking, but I really do. I went from gas to electric and a lot of people hate electric cooking but I have no problem with it.
