Summary: We bought our stove almost 3 years ago. I have had constant problems with the front right burner, it takes some time to get it lit and then it just blow up to go on. The next problem is I cleaned my oven before Easter, when I went to put the top rack back in I noticed that on the right side there was a 3/4" round spot where there was No enamel, then on further inspection the other side of the oven has a spot.
Summary: We've had the black version of this model for just under 4 years and it performs worse than ovens I've had that cost 1/3 the price. First, 2 parts of the stovetop had to be replaced because they MELTED. Repairman said they weren't heatproof. ON A STOVE TOP!! Good story for a laugh at a party but really inexcusable. Also, the gas knobs get much too hot for comfort when oven is on. I guess they're not heat resistant either.
Summary: This range was a dream come true until the first time we used the self cleaning oven feature. After that, temperature control was erratic. Service man said you should never use your vent hood while cleaning, because it draws the heat up into the control panel. Sounds like a MAJOR design flaw! Was still under warranty THIS TIME. Will the electronics cook every time we clean the oven?
Summary: I'll admit that this oven cooks very efficiently. I've had my oven for about 2 years now. It came with 2 high tech oven drawers that slide in and out. Both of them stopped sliding. Apparently the engineering design of the drawer didn't take into effect either the heat of the oven. The drawers would slide out and then without warning would not close. Call Electrolux and they'll tell you that you can buy a replacement drawer. No way.
Summary: I just had this delivered Thursday, and the burners aren't lighting without a lighter, and when I can get them lit they only light partially and the whole house starts to smell like gas. The oven lights, but again I am getting the strong gas odor. Something is wrong! This is my second try at Electrolux, so I am sending it back and changing over to Bosch, which does not have as many nice features and isn't as pretty. It won't match my Electrolux microwave either..
Summary: I hate this range. I thought I loved the way it looked, and believed that it was high tech. It's got so many bugs in it, I don't know where to begin. First and foremost, I wanted TWO ovens. The smaller oven, on bottom, is nothing more than a glorified warming drawer. When cleaning the cooktop (which scratches too easily...
Summary: It is too bad I have to give this range such a low rating. I've had this range for about 6 months now and I really like it, but it has one big design flaw that makes me hesitant to recommend it to anyone - you can't set the clock unless you unplug the unit. That's right, the morons who designed the software gave you no way to set the clock if the time is wrong or when you go on and off daylight savings time unless you pull the unit out from the wall and unplug it.
Summary: 1) The low on all but one of the burners is too high. You will have to call someone in to adjust at least one other burner so you can actually cook something without it boiling way too strongly. 2) The burner in the lower right hand corner - the one that looks fancy with a glass disc on top - is very difficult to light. In fact, this can be a problem with all the burners.
