Excerpt: We had a table top induction plate to get "used to" induction cooking. The Electrolux range has tons more power and has much higher quality. The oven is superior to anything we have ever used. The Sabbath setting impressed our Jewish friends. I would have liked to see temperature controlled cook top instead or timed control like our table top had. Love the griddle that came with a mail-in coupon. The left portion has a combine feature for the griddle that works great.
Summary: This is an early review--we just installed the range a few days ago. We've used the range and the oven. Induction works as advertised. There is a quiet fan noise when using power boost, but little to zero noise in normal use. The convection oven is also quiet and seemed to work well. Wish the oven had two lights. I noticed that my 9" cast iron skillet doesn't activate the outer ring of the 10" burner.
Excerpt: I'm a programmer, turned chef and had used induction where I worked at one time. I did alot of research and there were hardly any reviews so it was a little scary to jump on the induction band wagon. Still, I wanted it and finally found the unit I wanted, then started research on pricing. I had never heard of Goedecker's and was a bit leery about making a purchase this size, out of state, with no previous relationship with them.
Summary: I spent more than a month looking for a replacement kitchen range. Since Natural Gas isn't available where I live (and conversion to Propane is very expensive) I was interested in an induction cook top. I spoke with several friends that have induction ranges (mostly from Whilrpool owned brands. i.e. Maytag, Whirlpool etc) and every one of them used the word "adore" to describe their feelings towards induction cooking.
Summary: OK, I've only had it in my home for a week, after a 4 week wait for delivery. It was worth the wait! I looked at several models, originally considering just buying another smooth top electric range. Why I chose this over other ranges I had considered: The induction feature itself-much more energy efficient because no heat is generated without having a compatible cookware piece making contact with the burner.
