Summary: We installed and neither the oven or burners worked. We have had two service calls in the last two weeks with service stating we have lemon. Have been on the phone with Bosch customer service for last two weeks asking for replacement and finally received approval. Next problem, they cannot tell me when I will receive the replacement so continue to fight on that. The seller was a joke in its response and zero support to have manufacturer respond to defective product.
Summary: The knobs suck. I adore my stove. I use the convection oven. I cook several times a day and enjoy this range to no end. I wish it had dual ovens....but the warming drawer comes in handy. A second oven.....would be the dream. That being said, the knobs haven't been fixed. It's not heat....it's not a type of cleaner....it is crappy knobs. I'm still looking for metal replacement knobs and if anyone out there has a model number for some that they've found..
Summary: My wife and I bought this stove 5 years ago and in that time have replaced the oven control, had the broiler stop working and like everyone else watched the control knobs slowly disintegrate. This stove is easily the worst Bosch appliance ever.
Summary: Repost from model 7052 but also relates here: I'm sorry I ignored the other poor reviews and went ahead with my purchase. All features are working satisfactorily for me but I've experienced something no one else has mentioned so wish to warn you. We just performed our first self-clean function of the oven after a couple months of light use.
Summary: We have been cooking on our Bosch Range for four months now, replacing a Dacor duel fuel range. We love the stove, so far it has worked very well for us and is a joy to cook on. The large burner does a good job with stir fries and browning, and all of the burners have a very even low setting. The cast iron burner plates are heavy and distribute the flame's heat well. We use the oven in convection mode mostly and it works great.
Summary: I love the BTU power on the burners, the oven controls are a bit complicated at first but I want to point out to future buyers be sure to read what DUEL FUEL is all about. I bought this range because I had used at my friends house and liked it, I didn't want to spend hours looking for a range...I took the model number and ordered. I noticed "Duel Fuel" but guess I thought it meant the gas could be converted to propane. NOT...it means an electric oven!.
Summary: We replaced all the appliances in our kitchen with Bosch products. They all look good and are great products. For a slide in stove we looked at Viking, Wolf etc. but settled on the Bosch. I'm not a gourmet cook but do enjoy cooking. For my needs, spending the extra $1500 or so on the next notch up of stoves didn't seem like a good use of my money. We haven't been disappointed with our decision. The stove looks great and is easy to operate.
Inferior plastic knobs lose paint and become sticky
8 February 2013
Summary: If you're like me the knobs become the most used, moving part on the stove - the only part other than oven door handle which is actually touched. Like others, I have noticed that the knobs lose paint and become sticky. I noticed when I went to wash them using plain warm water. The paint was literally melting off the knob and are now sticky to the touch. Other attributes of the stove are fine.
