Summary: I love the new features and find it to be so much better than the SG5 I had previously. My only issue is that the web site is not as user friendly as it could be. Sometimes hard to work when trying to mod the courses to be downloaded and was unable to do so on my laptop during my last trip and will...
Summary: Although refurbished it looks and acts brand new. No manual came with it so had to go on-line and download manual to understand exactly how to use it. After signing up for plan and downloading courses, it worked exactly as expected.
Summary: We bought this item as a retirement gift for a friend. The SkyCaddie provides functionality, which is not available with a lazer device. For example your can adjust the cursor to show the distance to clear a water hazard and stay in the fairway. Lazers require a flag or a tree to act as a target.
Summary: Software updating was extremely akward at best and that was with the technical people at SkyCaddie helping and myself having some computer skills. Once this was accomplished, course updating has been smooth thus far. If the software needs a major update I will attempt with not some intrepidation.
Summary: The SkyCaddie SGX worked as advertised. I followed the instructions. I first charged my SGX. Than I downloaded the CaddieSync software to my PC running the Microsoft Vista OS. Using the CaddieSync software, I then registered my SGX with Skygolf and paid the $31.75 annual fee.
Summary: I have used a SkyCaddie SG-3 for about 5 years prior to buying the SGX and it was a big step up. The SGX cuts the time to lock onto a satellite by about 75% and gets me going in minutes. Sometimes by old SG-3 would be four or five holes into the round before it started giving yardages.
Summary: I love the Sky Caddie SGX. It has proven to have every very extensive courses selection (all that I play or have played) available. The distances are very accurate and the product is very easy to use.
