Summary: I ordered this cable and the screw is not longer than the original. I'm going to a hardware store to see if they have a longer screw. The price on the cable is good, as i carved out my other one trying to get screw to go down farther, and hit some metal wires embedded. So now the unit would charge but not sync for renewal etc...
SG3 Review - Better keep a lot of Batteries handy !
27 March 2012
Summary: SG3 has very good accuracy, display is very good and it's light and easy to handle. Big downside is the AA batteries. I go through 2 batteries every other round. Other than that, very good product.
Summary: Can't comment on this product but an easy quick fix is to use a drill bit by HAND not in a drill, and gently screw out small bits of material to let the connecter be seated a little bit deeper. This lets more of the screw protrude. I should have done this years ago.
Summary: The order came in as promised ,on time.Thanks.But when I read the manual it called to charge the unit with the wallcharger.(It said included) but it was not included. And now I see the unit on sale @ $ 109.99.That I can accept but not the missing charger.
Summary: pretty good product, the only thing about it that bothers me is the battery only stays charged for 18 holes. I have to have a couple sets of batteries with me in my golf bag to keep this thing working for the day. It gets kinda expensive. The product has a nice screen and is pretty on it for the distances.
Summary: The Sky Caddie 3.5 is a good GPS unit for the price. It is easy to view in most light conditions and to operate. My main complaint about the unit is that it seem to loose sat. contact when ever a cloud passes by. An on cloudy day it is completely useless. Battery life is a little short too.
Summary: Very Accurate GPS. This will eventually improve my game once I fix my swing. The only issue I have is that it uses AA's as opposed to a rechargeable lithium. I will probably step up to a SGX in few months because of this.
Summary: Although it arrived with batteries included, the first time it was used it only worked through 2 rounds of golf and the batteries were dead. The second time it was used, the batteries didn't even last through 1 round. Perhaps the model with rechargeable batteries would be a better buy.
