Summary: I've had 3 of these GPS units. the first lasted a little over a year and got where the batteries wouldn't last but 9 holes. I sent it back and SkyGolf sent me a new unit, free. The second unit lasted a month and I had the same problem as I had with the first unit.
Summary: Indespensible when it works, which mine did for about 10 months. It stopped connecting up with my computer, so I tried it on two other computers. Same thing. Customer service said to try a new cable [$29.99]. I did. Still no luck. Their answer?
Summary: I purchased this product near Christmas in 2008. I took it home and immediately setup the system with my computer connected to the SkyGolf website. The downloads stumbled a few times but I got through that pretty easily. (I'm fairly computer literate.
Summary: The batteries go in backwards to any other AA device, which is part of the issue I have with mine I think. It stopped powering on after about 14 months. The service guys at Sky caddie are outright crooks - beware.
Summary: Be aware-no where do they warn you you need a yearly sevice plan in order to get any Golf course info to download. Beating that - if you do not renew the next year - they wipe out all the info you previously downloaded on your device. Very unhappy that isn't clearly noted upfront.
Summary: The design of the attachment for the charger cable which requires a small screw be put in and taken out each time you recharge is bad! It should be a plug not a screw. I had to buy this replacement and pretty confident it too will be worn out soon.
