Summary: I have talked with friends since getting the SkyCaddie. It requires a membership in a club to get updates (not for me), it doesn't have a rechargeable battery (have you seen the price of batteries?), two AA batteries won't make it through two rounds of golf(you're kidding me). I'll be returning the SkyCaddie for a full refund after the holidays.
Summary: Very disappointed.... The Sky Caddie is being returned. Runs on batteries. Batteries sent with it did not work at all. Purchased new batteries. Used it for 9 holes of golf. At the next golf day, the batteries were dead. Very frustrating indeed.
Summary: The screw is way too short! Did not attach. Dealer said it was because my screw hole is stripped. It is not stripped, as I still use the original to wall charge the Sky Caddie. So, if I want to get my money back I have to spend another $5 to send the cable back (so far $10 in shipping) to get $10 refund.
Summary: I am really getting better at golf - and I thought the Sky Caddie would help me get even better. Took it home - and couldn't get the unit to communicate with my computer. Called technical support - and it turns out there is a known problem with this Sky Caddie communicating with certain computers - including my IBM Thinkpad. There is no fix or workaround. The SG3 model is supposed to be ideal for the golfer who travels.
Summary: I was so happy to get my Sky Caddie for Mother's Day this year. Due to travel plans and family plans, I only recently got a chance to use it on our course. I loved using it for the f1rst nine holes...just about at the 11th hole, it reads 'low battery'. I change the batteries at 14 and finish to 18. Two days later, I think there is some power in the new batteries but by the 5th hole, it poops out on me again.
