Summary: This GPS is absolutely useless. The battery never did work and it is impossible to work with their customer service - "We've never had a bad battery" Good luck. You might want to take that money and just throw it away instead of ordering this "GPS".
Summary: I had a little trouble installing my golf courses but it was my dumb knowledge of computers not the Izzo Swami 1500 instructions. Its really easy to use and is on target with the distance and range. Yardage slightly off sometimes but no big deal. Its very light, easy to read the numbers for us older players. It works great and I have told many of my buddies to get one if they are interested in a very inexpensive GPS range finder.
Summary: This product is just what I wanted. I have found it to be very accurate, and provides simple rangefinding functions for the middle, front, and back of the green for many golf courses. Maintains a charge well. I was able to load all the courses I play on regularly. Customer service was excellent. One course turned out to be inaccurate, but I emailed them, and within a few days was able to download a corrected map of the course, which is now quite accurate.
Summary: For the money this is the best golf GPS product you can buy. Works flawlessly and its size is easy to carry in pocket. It gives yardage to front, back and center of greens. It has self contained rechargeable battery. Get a car charger and just leave it in the car. You can load 10 courses at a time and it recognizes which course you are at automatically at turn on.

Summary: Admit it. There's only one Phil Mickelson. And YOU'RE NOT HIM. As you approach a green, you don't really need to know the precise measurement to the center of the stick down to the millimeter, do you? Because, even if you knew that magic number, your chance of hitting the mark is, what shall we say? Slight.
Summary: Could not get the Swami 1500 to work. Sent it back and the second one did not work either. Instead of trying a third, I ordered the Swami 3000. It has been excellent. Accuracy is spot-on. For the 20 or so extra dollars it has a number of advantages. First, you don't have to download the courses you want to play. Over 19,000 courses are pre-loaded. Plus, you don't have to have an annual membership which costs $10 a year.
Summary: I have used the Swami twice now. It is easy to use, very intuitive, and it works. Granted, it only gives you distance to the front, center or back of the green. But for the price, you cannot beat it. At first, my playing partners teased me about having a "swami". But then I noticed that they kept asking me for the distances. One had a hand held laser range finder that gives the distance to the pin. The swami was always within 2 yards of his distances.
Summary: Just wanted to let everyone know how this GPS is...LOVE it! Very accurate, extremely fast, and customer service for mapping a new course is tremendous! If you want a basic, no-frills GPS unit, this is the one for you!
