Pretty good GPS for the price
14 June 2014
Summary: I was originally going to return this. Initially I couldn't get it past the finding satellites but it was an extremely cloudy day. I have found it to be pretty accurate. I would recommend that if you buy it that you hook it up to your computer and download the updates. It was missing a golf course that was about 5 years old. The process to update is extremely easy. Overall I am glad I bought it.
Summary: I had a Swami 3000 gps that lasted 4-5 yrs. For the money, it was a good buy. This one I bought from Amazon never worked. I contacted Izzo directly and they were great. They sent me a Swami 4000, no charge. So Everything worked out fine.
Excerpt: Over all I am pleased with this product, but on my home course, Three Rivers Golf Course in Kelso, Wa. it does not work on the 18th hole. All other holes work, just not the 18th hole. Is there anything you can do about this?
Summary: I have tried this Izzo on my home course and on one other course. On both of them it was consistently off by at least 10 yards, sometimes as much as 20 yards. On my home course I reset the front, back and middle as per the instructions that came with it. It is still off by 10+++ yards. very frustrating - a waste of money.
Summary: I have used it several times since my purchase on different golf courses and it has not failed to give the exact distances. I love it! It has been one of the best buys that I have ever made for my golfing needs. You people have been very good about making sure that I was satiafied with my purchase from AMAZON. Thank You! I will be recommending AMAZON.com to my friends.
Summary: we have a 27 hole golf course but it only has the holes 19-27 not the front 18 holes. i called them several times asking to get the full course they gave me several excuses and keeped saying they would get it but it's been 2 mounthsnow so the bought a differant gps.
Excerpt: I have wanted a GPS for awhile now but hesitated because of the price for the benefits it provided. The Izzo at under $100 made me decide to try one out..... and it is almost perfect. My home course is actually 3 nine hole layouts and I find that the unit will not pickout the correct course until I am actually part way down the first fairway..... and when I change courses, it must be shut down and then restarted on the first fairway of the next course.
