Does exactly what it's suppose to do.

  • Conclusion: Seems very accurate, but it can be difficult hitting the flag from over 230 yards. Battery last a long time (over 15-20 rounds) and I take multiple measurements per hole for me and my playing partners. Wish it used a different crosshair as opposed to a circle...makes it a little harder to be precise. Also, Pinseeker mode works well. Overall, a must have if you want accurate yardage and don't want to have to replace batteries often like GPS units require.

All Golfer's Should Have One!

  • Conclusion: I had a chance to use my friend's Bushnell V2 laser range finder along with his Sky Caddie SG5 at the same time. I must say, the there is a definitely difference in accuracy between the two. Although it may be a small difference in yardage, some may find it trivial while others find it a deal breaker. I personally thought the range finder is really easy to use - if you have a steady hand.

  • Summary: Its good and easy to use. Bought it for my wife's birthday - so she will not need to use mine when I'm on the other side of the fairway.

Wanted to use it for a practice tool

  • Summary: I have a new set of clubs and I wanted this item to use mostly on the practice range to figure out the distances on my shots. I haven't had it on the range yet but I pull it out for almost every shot on the course. I have to say that it has helped me choose my clubs pretty accurately and the thing I really like is that it does not take time to use it. I was fearful that I would get a read that was incorrect because I didn't want to hold any one up .

as advertised

  • Summary: great accuracy and easy to manipulate....after a few moments to understand the shifting between the pinseeker feature and the one without it, the slope edition delivers big time for an average golfer like me. the only drawback is the color of the instrument, ie black or dark grey! after the game, when left in the cart, it can be forgotten...unless someone buys a bright cover full cover (like yellow or orange) that will reduce the risk of that to happen!

Bushnell Tour V2

Mac, Amazon
15 February 2011
  • Summary: I have found the product to be reliable, easy to use and with good optical properties making it easier to pick out the target. The pinseeker option makes it easy to decide if you have a view of the pin or the trees behind it and seems to work consistently so far. I did have a bit of a problem on a very foggy morning but even then it surprised me at what it could pick out.

starting out again

  • Summary: I got this for deer stalking like a previous contributor. So why choose a golf instead of a hunting version? Laser range finders for hunting have become rather complex when all I need is something simple to use in the heat of the moment. This is as simple as it gets. It even comes in an orange pouch instead of the ubiquitous black.

Bushnell Tour V2 Laser Rangefinder

GJQ, Amazon
17 May 2009
  • Summary: I am generally very pleased with the V2 range finder. I bought this model to use in competition play as i also have a pinseeker 1500 slope edition which is not allowed under R&A rules. The only draw back I can find with the V2 compared to the 1500 model, is that the 1500 seems to acquire the pins with greater ease. I would therefore recommend anyone thinking of buying a Bushnell to spend the extra few pounds and purchase the slightly more expensive 1500 pinseeker model.
