Summary: The new item that I ordered arrived as a refurbished package. There was a note saying that it was the same as the original product, but it is not.. There is no battery included, so we were not able to try it. There was also no manual, but we find it online so at least we know now which battery to order. Quite embarassing since this was a Christmas gift for someone.
Summary: Purchased the unit a year ago and all was well (2011). The unit still works well, but has developed a brown spot in the viewfinder. A call to the customer service folks reveals that they know about the issue, but say it is a heat issue and not covered by warranty. This unit has never been in exteme heat even though I live in the high desert. Hottest temp has been 93 and the unit should easily withstand that heat - I do! The repair is over two hundred dollars.
Summary: The Pro's say it, Bushnell says it, and you hear it. Golf is a game of inches, but show me a Golfer that gets within 1 yard of the flag on every shot to the green. As far as I can remember, Pro's were hitting the green WAY before this device came out. As do I. Look, I have a Droid Razr phone, which is an Android phone, and the GPS system is accurate within 10 feet. That's 3 yards.
Summary: Nothing to write home about. Yardage is in very small size numbers at bottom of screen and will not read distance much over 150 yards without being totally still. It has it's uses but certainly not all that great. Would not purchase again!!
Summary: I got a new V2 in late June and have replaced the battery TWICE (late October). When I called Bushnell, a rep. told me that if you play 4 rounds a week, expect the battery to last 6-8 weeks. Their website claims 5000 hits...and to replace the battery every year whether or not it is needed. It is a lie! Don't worry, if you are a serious golfer, you will spend $9 every couple of months just to power the unit. It is a nice unit...
Summary: I have no complaints about this range finder. None at all. Its accurate, the pinseeker function is great for picking up distances to the flag, its easy to use...etc. Great product when its working. I purchased two of these because I thought that I lost one. For 4 years I have used one or the other, so technically there is only about 2 years of use on each one.
Summary: I bought the Bushnell Tour V2 and loved it until I began dealing with Bushnell's Customer Service Department. The unit began giving me incorrect yardages so I contacted Customer Service which Bushnell touted as "world class." That service included them telling me I had to pay to send the unit back, wait 4-5 weeks for repair and, oh yeah, include a check for $10 for them to ship it back to me.
Summary: I love the unit but I need to send it back. I went through 2 batteries in two months and used it for 12 rounds and the battery died twice. Something is draining the batteries. Otherwise the unit is great. Might have got a bad one.
Summary: the infomercial makes it look like a breeze to use, but it is not. to begin with, a flag that is far away from you looks small in the eyepiece. if the wind is blowing, it is even harder to get it in the little circle for a measurement. plus, if you are not leaning against something solid you will not be able to keep the circle from moving around.
Summary: Didn't really buy this for golf but for long range deer stalking at which it has proved to be well up to the job allowing for very accurate bullet placement. Have alredy recommended it to other stalkers and would suggest it might help your marketing if you targeted ( forgive the pun ) it at stalkers as well as golfers.
