upgrade from the Bushnell V2
15 March 2011
Summary: I have been using Bushnell range finders since they came out. My last one was a V2 Tour that I have been using for a couple of years. Unfortunately, it fell out of the carrying case when I was unloading my golf bag from the car and I lost it.
Summary: This is my first and only rangefinder and I must say it is a great product. I picked this up over a gps unit because I will not be forced to pay a fee to use it and it is a more accurate measuring device. I never have to guess how far away I am from the hole or an object that I'm aiming at now.
Summary: I Ordered this a couple weeks ago and love it. It only has two buttons so it is extremely simple to use and works flawlessly. The pinseeker mode is what I use all the time (compared to scan mode) because you know exactly when the pin is locked in.
Summary: I've played about a half dozen rounds with my new Bushnell Pro 1600 Slope and couldn't be happier! I wear glasses, but the adjustable eye shade and diopter adjustment make it a breeze to use. The pinseeker mode allows you to lock on to the pin almost instantly.
Summary: This tool is amazing. Everyone should have one if you want to play better golf and speed up play. I always liked the idea of playing golf by feel, but not being able to play all that much anymore or know a course very well will leave one stranded and crying for help.
Summary: Great rangefinder! It takes a little getting used to in terms of holding it steady enough to get an accurate reading, but that's to be expected. If you play alot of courses where the sprinkler heads either are marker inconsistently, or, just never seem to be where you hit the ball, then this...
Summary: Functions well and accuracy is very high. I've compared it with several GPS range finders and there is excellent correlation when flags are in comparable locations on the greens. Excellent inside 100 yards where the distances for touch shots are critical.
Summary: I had an older model for several years and it started eating batteries(button stuck on) I decided I needed an upgrade and replacement. This is twice as good as the last one. 7X vs my old 4X view. laser seems to work faster. Mine came with nice case to strap to the top of bag vs old cheap cloth bag.
Summary: I am anal when it comes to making comparisons. Especially if I am buying through mail-order. I will research items for a long time. When it came to picking a range finder I had it narrowed down to the Leupold GX 1 and the Bushnell 1600. The first comparisons I did were at my house.
Summary: You get quick accurate measurements to the pin and other object like green side bunkers. There is no need to download different golf courses, you can use the Bushnell 1600 on any golf course. I received advice on what to buy from caddies who loop for PGA tour players and this is what they all use.
