What i thought I was getting
19 August 2011
Summary: When I first saw this rangefinder I thought I was getting the top of the line equipment. As far as the view its good but the problem is the battery case door. It opens all the time and you are continually having to shut it. A disappointment in the item, if I could I would return it.
Summary: First I'll start with the positives of this item -- good accuracy, ability to get distances for anything not just the flag, rugged body w/good grip, ease of use, decent battery life, can use it one handed even w/my small hands. The real bummer is the door to the battery compartment.
Summary: I purchased in June of 2010 a Bushnell Pro 1600 Slope Edition Laser Rangefinder with Pinseeker. It reads distances well and is easy to use. BUT a defective battery door makes it very frustrating to use. The battery door opens up several times a round for no apparent reason.
Summary: I have been using Bushnell range finders since they came out. My last one was a V2 Tour that I have been using for a couple of years. Unfortunately, it fell out of the carrying case when I was unloading my golf bag from the car and I lost it.
Summary: This is a fantastic range finder. It has all the features you need. It quickly picks up flags, bunkers, trees, etc. I have very shaky hands and I can get this to pick up my targets without trouble. I am a 3 handicap and I would pick this over a GPS any day.
Summary: This is my first and only rangefinder and I must say it is a great product. I picked this up over a gps unit because I will not be forced to pay a fee to use it and it is a more accurate measuring device. I never have to guess how far away I am from the hole or an object that I'm aiming at now.
Summary: This is an excellent rangefinder. Very powerful lens that makes the flag appear very close. The ONLY addition that would cause it to get 5 stars would be an image stabilization feature as some cameras have. Really have to concentrate on holding the instrument steady. Very satisfied.
Summary: The battery compartment will not always stay closed. The battery sometimes falls out. I had to tape it shut. For what it cost I would think that Bushnell would have corrected this problem. Others I have talked to have experienced the same problem.
Summary: I Ordered this a couple weeks ago and love it. It only has two buttons so it is extremely simple to use and works flawlessly. The pinseeker mode is what I use all the time (compared to scan mode) because you know exactly when the pin is locked in.
