I don't see the downside - The Hybrid is great.

Excerpt: The Hybrid is the best I have ever used. I rarely use the GPS since I can see all the greens. Yes, GPS may be off a bit. Either the course was not mapped correctly or toaday's flag, although marked in the center, is not actually in the center of the green where it was mapped. So what? I don't know why anyone would use the GPS feature if they could see the flag anyway. The power of the GPS is when you can't see the green or flag.
Excerpt: Why did no one think of this before..the GPS feature is simple but more than adequate and the pin seeker range finder is one of the easiest to use I have ever tried. Since this was just a recent purchase, we have not tried out all the available features yet and have only had the opportunity to use at a couple other courses in our area other than our home course, but it works wonderfully. The battery lasts and lasts.
Summary: this unit works absolutely great, except that i thought i could get yardages from things other than the pin - it will get the odd telephone pole, but nothing on the course which is VERY disappointing
Excerpt: I've owned this product for a month and i have had no problems, the product works just like they say.I play a course thats flat for the most part so i use the rangefinder until the 18th hole,i turn the gps on because I'm blocked by a canyon wall that i have to shoot over so i can get the yds to the middle of the green,if you only use the rangefinder like me I'm sure the battery will last 1/2 the summer. If you use the gps for the hole round i would think i could get 4 to 5...
Excerpt: Had another Bushnell range finder prior to this one. Got this right before Christmas and just used it for the first time. Worked like a charm. Much lighter and smaller than my prior one, and it was great to have the front and back of green yardages. At the end of my 18 hole round, the battery indicator was still indicating a full battery. Don't know how many rounds it will last, but absolutely no problem with 1 complete round.
Excerpt: The range finder of the unit is excellent... but so are the many MUCH cheaper range finders on the market. All Bushnell laser range finders are outstanding. However this "combo" laser range finder/GPS is gimmicky and a battery sucker extraordinare. You MIGHT make one round out of it but you absolutley have to charge it fully BEFORE each use. The GPS should be called GPS lite. It gives distances to fronts and backs of greens (inaccurately.
