The Escort Passport 8500 X50 is a new "V-Tuned" radar receiver that provides extreme detection range on all police radar, conventional and Instant-on radar, including the new POP mode radar threat. It is an advanced laser and radar detector that responds to the X-Band, K-Band, and Ka-Super Wideband radar guns and also provides Laser Eye 360° Detection system. It is designed with Digital signal processing (DSP), Escort’s ExpertMeter technology and it is also invisible to VG-2 radar detectors plus it comes with a brilliant blue display, and is also available with a high intensity red display.

Features

The Escort Passport 8500 X50 features an integrated laser and radar detector that has indicator for responding to X-Band (10.525 GHz more or less 25 MHz), K-Band (24.150 GHz more or less 100 MHz) and Ka-Super Wideband (34.700 GHz more or less 1300 MHz) radar guns. It is fitted with Super heterodyne receiver, Varactor-Tuned VCO, Scanning Frequency Discriminator, Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and separate alarms for laser and radar bands to give Instant-On (Pulse) and POP mode Detection warning to user of the use of radar and laser monitoring system. Apart from that, the DSP also provides maximum range, with minimum false alarms while the Escort’s ExpertMeter technology displays multiple threat signals which can detect up to a possible 8 different radar threats simultaneously. It provides distinct visual, audio alerts and flashes a warning indicator to user of the presence of X-Band, K-Band, Ka-Super Wideband radar signals as well as IR laser (904nm, 33 MHz Bandwidth) signals such as LTI 20-20, Pro-Laser, Laser-Lyte and Stalker. With a Bar Graph Signal Strength Indicator (3 modes), the device gives weak signals causing the audio and visual alarms to activate intermittently, but it gets stronger when you are closer to the radar gun where both alarms will increase its intensity. The device is also designed with a SmartShield VG-2 Immunity system that makes it undetectable to VG-2 radar detector and giving out warnings if it is being use. The 8500 X50 also comes with a Laser Eye 360° Detection System called LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) which provides laser protection from all directions. It also has Quantum Limited Video Receiver and Multiple High-Performance Laser for improved Laser performance of the device. Besides that, it comes with an easy to use Programmable features for setting the Power-On Indication, Power-On Sequence, Audio tones and selectable sensitivity control of AutoSensitivity, Highway or City mode. The AutoSensitivity and City/Highway mode functions helps reduce X-Band false alarm while driving in the city. Other feature includes Auto and Manual Muting, Auto Calibration Circuitry, Auto Memory Retention, 280 LED Display Matrix/Text for easy readout of messages and SpecDisplay function, mounts easily on windshield or dashboard, has 3-level Dimming (Maximum, Medium or Minimum) plus Dark mode display settings. The 8500 X50 comes with an earphone jack, adjustable Audio levels, SmartCord MuteDisplay power cord which has a power-on indicator, an alert lamp that warns you of radar/laser signals, and a convenient mute button. Besides that, it also comes with quick release windshield bracket, reprogrammable microprocessor for easy upgrade of latest radar/laser threats plus an aluminium travel case. The 8500 X50 requires power output of 12VDC, negative ground while it measures in at 5.32-inch (13.5cm) in depth, 1.25-inch (3.2cm) in height and 2.85-inch (7.2cm) in width. It weights in at 9 ounces (255g).
