Excerpt: This was one of my first radar detectors i had. as soon as i turned 16 i bought one. i can tell you to steer clear of this all of my friends will agree with me. you should steer clear of anything that has the name cobra written on it as they all are garbage. this thing will give you false signals all day. whether you drive past a bank, a grocery store whatever it may be. In my honest opinion you should just shell out some extra cash and go for either the valentine one.
Summary: I like this particular radar is because it is very accurate, and you can set certain bands either on or off. It works better if not the same as any other radar like whistler. They are very affordable and saves you from tickets. It can be difficult to mount on the car but the clear instructions tell you how to mount it better for better accuracy.
Summary: I think the price is pretty reasonable. I like everything about it. the only downside to it is that it can get a little annoying sometimes. It gets a lot of false alarms or just signal triggered by other things. But as far as using it to know when ther's a cop near (which is why I bought it) it's pretty accurate as long as the cop has their radar on. Most cops however drive around with their radar off. In which case the radar will not detect them.
Summary: This unit give a fair amount of warning when it picks up a signal. X band gives false alarm, but you can turn off any band you don't need. For a low price it is a solid unit. It is loud enough to hear clearly and the compass is nice. Its kind of bulky but thats ok. Automute is awsome adjusting the volume level to about 40% after first 2 warnings which is nice. Picks up emergency unit very accurately.
Summary: no display for lazer radar or at least it doesnt work and that cost me a 2 hundred dollar ticket to say the least i am not happy with the product and i took it out of my car like a piece of junk
