Awesome Product

zebceponaf, shopping.com
19 November 2004
  • Excerpt: The vector 940 has saved me so many times I don't know how I drove without it. (Actually I just drove slower.) I only use modes Highway and Autoscan (when I'm in town) and that covers all my bases. Had it for about 6 months now and I can say it has saved me at LEAST 5-6 tickets.
  • Pros: Works great, detects great, saves me all the time. It talks!
  • Cons: Display hard to see in direct sun. Can't reprogram voice to "watch out for pig!"

  • Summary: Several good choices if you have more than $300 to spend, but if not, stick with Bel - and stay away from Cobra!
  • Pros: Very high level of performance for the dollar spent. Great build quality (so far).
  • Cons: Doesn't come with a straight cord, and the coiled cord isn't all that long.
