It's a good box, but it's certainly not finished. Think of it like a beta.

Excerpt: We bought the PVR 9200T, essentially, as it had been recommended by The Gadget Show on Five (who generally know what they're talking about). Unfortunately though, the box hasn't quite lived up to its reputation. First, the good points. The picture quality is actually very good. I think it's noticeably better than my Digifusion box, and actually as good as the inbuilt tuner in my Sony TV. The remote is of a good quality and is very easy to use.
Great VCR replacement. There must be better options today.

Excerpt: First of all, let me say that at the time it was bought, this was reviewed as one of the best set-top boxes out there. And when you're coming from a VCR, it really does work like magic. The EPG allows you to record programs without worrying about programming times, and the dual tuner lets you record and watch at the same time.
Summary: Bought 10/11/2007, set up was very simple and straight-forward. Delighted with the ease of use and how quick it will record on-demand, so much nicer than my Liteon DVD Recorded. However after just 7 days, I noticed that the screen keep going black for a split second, sometimes once and sometimes five or six times in a row. I went back to the TV and found nothing wrong with the same program.
Pros: Ease of Use, Quick Recording, Good Picture Quality
Summary: Overall this is a great unit, and my reason for only rating it 6 is due to its reliability problems. I have had 2 of these boxes, after the first one repeatedly froze during viewing live broadcasts or recording broadcasts, at least once a day. The fault was not a signal problem, just hardware or firmware. My second box is better but still likes to freeze up every now and then. Humax say they are aware of the fault, and will be releasing a firmware upgrade.
Pros: Great recording quality, quick fast-forward and rewind - 64x!
Cons: Picture can sometimes freeze, even with very strong signal
