  • Summary: Ys I and II Chronicles is a remake drone the originals. Everything in this game is far superior then the classics and what's event better is that both games are bundled together. If your a fan of RPGs especially Action RPGs then you need to grab this one.

Wow, what an amazing game. Played the PC release that this is based off, and this is so worth owning

  • Summary: I don't even mean the Steam version. I mean the original PC release. Anyway, this is perhaps the definitive version of YS 1&2 for now. There will likely be new remakes in the future. Controls are solid, the small easter eggs like a shoutout to Xenogears and Chrono Trigger were funny to read, and the overall localization is just quality. Nice job XSeed, now if only YS would grow in popularity in the US.

  • Summary: I have always liked rpgs from Final Fantasy 8 all through star pcean and persona. Now I would never say it but this game ranks up there. 2 great games in 1 package.

  • Summary: It's the first two Ys games on one UMD with nice graphics and awesome music. Plays nice, sounds nice, looks nice. Can't say much more. Hard as nails in some points, but the classic bump 'em to death mechanic is still fun. Recommended to Action RPG fans that happen to own a PSP.

Bump Adol, Bump

  • Summary: This is how you remake a game! The level design and basic mechanics of the game are all preserved here, but wrapped in beautifully redone graphics and an incredible soundtrack like most Falcom games have. This is by far "the" version of Ys books 1 and 2 to play, and a perfect introduction to a great game franchise.

Bumping it's way to victory, one demon at a time.

  • Summary: I'm not going to speak of the game's history as i'm sure it's been said over a thousand times on here. These games were two of the best games of their era, and today they still hold up well, in fact i would say that if one did not know that these games were a remake of the classic origins of the series, i would not doubt that they would be considered recent, as the battle system is still fresh today as it was 20 years ago.

  • Excerpt: It is easy to stick with a series over time. A series tends to have the same quality across its titles, whether it is top-notch graphics, an excellent plot, or an enjoyable battle system. The Ys series consistently gives a fast-paced battle system, excellent music, and fantastic boss fights. Ys I & II Chronicles firmly follows this level of quality.
