The start of an amazing journey!

Summary: This is where it all began. The Ys games are known for great action and absolutely amazing soundtracks. This is a remake of the first two in brilliant fashion. The visuals are quite nice and the soundtrack is downright jaw-dropping. It may be the most of putting entry in the series as you essentially "bump" into enemies to cause damage so it is different than more traditional games.
Summary: Ys I and II Chronicles is a remake drone the originals. Everything in this game is far superior then the classics and what's event better is that both games are bundled together. If your a fan of RPGs especially Action RPGs then you need to grab this one.
Wow, what an amazing game. Played the PC release that this is based off, and this is so worth owning

Summary: I don't even mean the Steam version. I mean the original PC release. Anyway, this is perhaps the definitive version of YS 1&2 for now. There will likely be new remakes in the future. Controls are solid, the small easter eggs like a shoutout to Xenogears and Chrono Trigger were funny to read, and the overall localization is just quality. Nice job XSeed, now if only YS would grow in popularity in the US.
Summary: It's the first two Ys games on one UMD with nice graphics and awesome music. Plays nice, sounds nice, looks nice. Can't say much more. Hard as nails in some points, but the classic bump 'em to death mechanic is still fun. Recommended to Action RPG fans that happen to own a PSP.
Summary: This is how you remake a game! The level design and basic mechanics of the game are all preserved here, but wrapped in beautifully redone graphics and an incredible soundtrack like most Falcom games have. This is by far "the" version of Ys books 1 and 2 to play, and a perfect introduction to a great game franchise.
