Excerpt: SmackDown Vs. RAW 2006 on the PSP is almost identical to its PS2 counterpart: The graphics are quite nice, the control remains enjoyable, and the full depth of play is retained. Including loads of wrestlers, some great WiFi multiplayer, and a management mode that adds a whole new layer to the wrestling game, SmackDown Vs. RAW 2006 is a must-play for portable-gaming wrestling fans. Get the full review from Matt James right here.
Excerpt: PSP needed a good beat-’em-up and this near perfect conversion of its big brother, Smackdown Vs. Raw 2006 PS2, is something of a joy to play. For those who have played Smackdown games before, you may notice that, naturally, the graphics aren’t as sharp on the PSP as on the full console and there is no commentary (if thats a bad thing). The controls have also been simplified a little to acomodate the missing shoulder buttons.
Excerpt: WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2006 is another addition to THQ's wrestling arsenal. It doesn't have a lot of features that haven't been done before, but it is an impressive collection of everything that makes wrestling games great. Wrestling in the ring still feels a lot like previous WWE titles, but there are a few added features, such as a choker hold which is long overdue. The most improved addition to the control is the stamina and momentum change.
