Summary: Along with Lemmings this is a classic Amiga game also! now re-living on the PSP. I'm pleased to say its pretty much the same gameplay and style with an updated feel to the graphics. Best played against someone although passing the PSP between you can be a pain! but it adds to the enjoyment to wipe out your friends personally named worms!. INCOMING!
Summary: This is a great game that harks back to an era where playability and engagement of the player were as important as ever more complex graphics and viral advertising. Its refreshing to see that this classic revived is as engaging and addictive as ever. This is the type of game that makes the PSP such a good platform, this type of game is well worth carrying with you and is easily able to entertain for hours and hours.
Conclusion: Although the game has gone back to 2D for the psp, one thing hasn't changed. Worms is still great. I've always liked this series, with worms armageddon on the PS1 being my favourite version. You team up your gang of 4 worms against from 1 to 3 more human or computer controlled teams with the objective of being the last team standing.
Excerpt: "Personally i found it extremely addictive from the moment i bought it. I immediately played on it and ended up playing on it everywhere i went, to the point where my parents confiscated my psp. With a large number of possible backgrounds available, due to the different backgrounds and hill shapes, there is an even larger number of combination of backgrounds to chose form. Also, there are quite a few weapons, which are easy to get the hang of using, ...
Pros: Portable and exciting, not predictable
Cons: Lack of a few weapons which were favoured in previous worms games
Summary: Unless you've been locked away for several years you will have heard of Worms and its several incarnation. For those that don't, imagine the old 80s game Tanx, but with more imaginative ways to dispatch your opponent as the animated characters react to the way they are attacked. The PSP version of worms is a lovely looking basic version, you get no frills, in fact you have a quick mode, which is one game with a set of worms against another team, Create a battle mode,...
Summary: I got worms open warfare for christmas and it hasn't disapointed. The Graphics are good, the weapons are awesome, (even tho there is'nt as many weapons as the other worms' games) plus it has many challenges. It is therefore a great play. For how much it is on amazon, it is worth every single penny.
Summary: AMAZING! I cant believe this is the first review for such a classic game. Like on other platforms this fails to dissapoint with many challenges and campaign mode or a quick easy pickup and play mode. Again this is a 2D game with 3D surrondings. On the other hand this may dissapoint players of the recent gamecube and playstation versions of the game not being 3D but with the PSP that would have been almost impossible.
Excerpt: "Well here is a blast from the past for any of you who have been a gamer for sometime, or a fun new experience for any of you novices out there. Worms on the PSP is everything you expect of this lengthy and mature franchise. The concept is simple you have to defeat the other team or teams of worms over a series of destructable landscapes using a variety of weapons (from a stick of dynamite to an exploding sheep) and tools (jetpacks to star trek style ...
Pros: Easy to understand, good graphics, great gameplay
Worms - Still a great game if lacking some aspects

Summary: First of all this is a superb game, it's easy to learn and very addictive, easy to play with a friend as it's turn based and just involves passing your PSP to and fro. The challenges are quite good starting very easy and progressing, I am now on challenge 20 and have failed 10 times, so longevity does not seem an issue. You can customise team names as well as worm names.
