Summary: fully turn based like most Trpgs :you move in a hexagon pattern instead of straight forward so the movement is similar to the circular patterns on PS2 games :many of the games levels are "do this" missions (with concrete goals) so doing those errands could get boring to players :customizable and...
Summary: I just started playing this game for the third time and i still find it to be a lot of fun. Pros: I really like the battle system. It's turn based like many other rpg's but is more strategy based because of the hexagonal system they use.
Excerpt: this review is wrong. I'm almost speechless at how thick it is. I think the problem is that these reviewers play the games with strategy guide in hand so that they can finish in time (or not, apparently) and get the review out by it's deadline.
Excerpt: i would have given it an A+, but i haven't cleared it yet, and that would be dishonest. Kinda like most of the reviews of under-the-radar-but-very-long jrpg and jtac games here on this site...hmm. I've very disappointed in 1up and egm right now.
Summary: this game is like ff tactics but with more fun factor. Even though its a strategy rpg,it still has the wild arms feel and the music is about 60% familar. Ive read the other 2 review and it somewhere in between.
Summary: Do not be afraid of this game. the issue some people have with this game is that every mission it tells you how you need to win and some objectives you need certain classes. You arent just swapping classes left and right. I have only changed my classes due to mission requirements twice.
Summary: Don't believe what some mainstream review sites say about this game, the only cons I could think of are very minor issues that can easily be overlooked. The pros far outweigh the cons, the game is quite fun and presents a nice challenge but is not overly difficult as some people say, as long as you...
Pros: Graphics are much better than screenshots, voice acting for most dialogue (choice between English and Japanese as well), wide variety in mission objectives, uniquely distinct classes (no 2 classes are even remotely the same), decent story, hex system, presents a nice challenge, and the fact that ...
Cons: No animated cutscenes like the RPGs, may be too difficult for those inexperienced with tactical/strategy RPGs, items must be re-equipped after changing classes. (These are both very minor issues)
Summary: If you're a fan of the Wild Arms series, you should be very clear that this is a Turn-Based Strategy game or SRPG, very different to the other games in the series. Having said that, I am a fan of the other WA games and I also like strategy games, so I really enjoyed this.
