an underrated SRPG that brings new ideas to the genre
9 October 2014
Summary: a strategy rpg that stresses the strategy. the SRPG genre is my favorite, starting with Final fantasy tactics for the ps1. Over the years the series has become a little stale. Many people still consider FFT the best in the genre.
Summary: I've been a fan of the Wild Arms series till I played WA4. I lost faith in XSEED and felt the games became more directed toward a teen audience who can buy into unrealistic ideals. WA XF did catch me by surprise.
Summary: Since the PSP is limited in it's selection of RPG's this one ranks high on the list. It's fun without being so challenging you have to look for hints online. The voice acting isn't horrible which is always a plus and it's not really that expensive. A good buy.
Summary: if you've got time for a challenging game i'd get this one
Pros: this is a fun game. i've had some trouble beating some parts of it, but luckily you can just restart the battle if you fail. i'm used to the final fantasy style battle system of just taking turns, but the hexagonal system is a fun change. the story is pretty good.
Cons: some people complain about having to change your gear after you change classes but it really isn't much of a hassle at all. the one thing i don't like is the lack of freedom you have in the world map.
