by Pete Richards With a World Cup only every four years, soccer fans that just can't wait to pit their national heroes against their rivals in a good game of football may be excited about this release. While the need for a new soccer title on the PSP may seem a bit unnecessary for EA (considering the recent releases of their 2006 World Cup and FIFA titles), it could be assumed that EA is trying to battle Konami and their Pro Evolution series for the PSP soccer market.... The big question hanging over Euro 2008 is if it's worth its price tag, given that it's essential a tweaked FIFA 08 and FIFA 09 is only a few months away? The core gameplay has been tweaked enough to make FIFA 08 feel slightly dated, but chances are FIFA 09 will improve on this even further. If you support a team that actually made it into the tournament then the hype over this summer's footie is likely to win you over, but for everyone else it might just be too much of... Read more

Let's face it, major international football tournaments that your own nation fail to qualify for are incredibly boring affairs. Likewise, if your team do qualify and get knocked out early, the rest of the tournament just feels hollow. That's where the world of video games come in handy. Recreating the tournament either on a TV screen or in the palm of your hands allows you to right the wrongs, and live those dreams that have been snatched away through no fault of your... Read more

  4. UEFA Euro 2008 - PSP Review

Money does not grow on trees, at least not around most households. If you're part of a family with too much money, odds are that you already purchased this game without bothering to read the review. If you're like me and actually care about forty bucks, then you most definitely want to stay away from UEFA Euro 2008. The game is mediocre at best from every single angle and department; it barely looks acceptable, it is overpriced, does not have a player creation mode, no... Read more

But a chance to try and right the wrongs of Steve McClaren‘s flat back four should never be ignored – a worthy shelf filler during the summer months. Read more

If you are a football fan you will enjoy touring the European campaign with your team, but besides the challenge of beating the opposition you might come up with some random bugs which really kill the moment at times. Random free kicks will happen all the time. No matter how careful you are even with the soft tackle the referee will blow the whistle for simply taking the ball away. I've noticed this happens more often if you are winning a close game and the end of the... Read more
