Summary: I bought this for my granddaughter for a Christmas present from Santa. However, the game was delayed and didn't get hear when it was suppose to. She loves the game; even though it didn't come until a week after Christmas. Next time I will be sure to order at least 10 days ahead of schedule.
TONY HAWK PROJECT 8 IS INDEED THE BEST PORTABLE SKATEBOARDING GAME

Summary: After playing the same title on XBOX 360 and PS3 I was not holding my breath for this portable title for PSP. I have to say it's a great PORT to the PSP and it my as well be the best game for the PLAYSTATION PORTABLE. I Really enjoyed it, how ever the control scheme is the thing I am still having a problem mastering. Give it some time. All in all Tony Hawk comes back with full force with great skateboarding action that transports me back to my childhood skateboarding!
Summary: I have been a Pro Skater fan since the beginning. I've mastered every game the series put out (except THUG2 and American Wasteland because I was too dissapointed with them to try to beat them). Now I haven't played this game on any other system but the PSP. I'm 100% certain that the PS3 and Xbox360 versions are much better but I am still pretty impressed with this one. The graphics are looking better than ever, even on the PSP.
Summary: From what I have heard, the Project 8 series on the xbox 360 and ps3 is a whole new game, as opposed to a recycled version of Tony Hawk Pro Skater. Make no mistake, the psp version of project 8 falls into the latter category. This is simply the ps2 version of pro skater scaled down onto the small screen. Don't get me wrong--this is a great game that is a lot of fun to play.
Summary: This game is very good. I agree that is very similar to other games of the Tony Hawk`s series. But ive been a long time without playing any of them (i didn`t pass through every sigle game) and then this game offers a lot of fun and new features. Ok, its a PSP game, not a PS3 80GB game so don`t ask too much, just play, get the goals as always and get fun!
Excerpt: I loved what was done with THUG2 when it was ported to the PSP in Remix, and so I had to give Project 8 a go when it came out. It's mostly good, but the overly lean production means that a lot of the best elements from the "proper" consoles have been removed. What works? The formula that has worked so well has returned, and the game has a big emphasis on performing insane tricks, as has been my favourite part of the series.
A great TH game. For fans of the series, this is an essential buy!

Excerpt: I have recently bought this game for the PSP and my expectations were high considering the huge success of the series on the PS1 and PS2. This game has a great mix of in-depth story mode to satisfy the TH veteran amongst us, as well as the near perfect learning curve for newcomers to the series - there is something for everyone here.
Conclusion: This is exactly what PSP was made for. After getting used to the controls, this game is excellent. The graphics are great, the game play inventive. There are a few bugs but nothing major, and even the console versions of TH have bugs. Remember how small the PSP is and that it is intendid as a portable device.
