Summary: This is another game I purchased based on it receiving such positive reviews on Amazon. I was disappointed with it, and would like to share my experience with others. I overall think the game is decent. But I wish they would have worked out the changing camera position and the controls a little better. This should be an awesome game, but instead it's just kind of frustrating due to, in my opinion, poor design.
Summary: I bought this game because it had a very unique storyline: boy runs through ruins, trailed by Tokobots who help him out during his expeditions. It looked cute and fun to play. Plus, it's apparently discontinued so that made it even more valuable to me. I guess the only problem, but a major problem, is that you cannot control the camera angles.
Summary: Tokobot is a good platformer that is truly unique on the PSP. The puzzles are challenging and fun, but there are some points that are simply excessively difficult due to the temperamental control scheme, which results in the need to have perfect timing in order to pull off the maneuver. A good rental, but must be polished up in order to make it into the top-rung games on the PSP.
Summary: Don't you just hate it when there's a good promising game, with great ideas, good graphics, plenty to be getting on with, but it is sorely let down by frustratingly awkward controls & gameplay?!! Not that the puzzles are too hard, because you can always look it up on some web-site, but that, even armed with a good walthrough, some of the enemies are frustratingly difficult - even very early on!!!
