The Warriors

The Warriors is a game designed like a drama from a cult film. It is a battle of massive street gang in 1979 set in the city of New York. The game started when one of the gang leader, Cyrus, summon all gang members in New York to a summit and asked them to unite into one massive army under his command to take over the city. The gang members seemed ready to sign up, until Cyrus was shot by a rival group and “The Warriors” (a small-time gang from the edge of the city) was blamed for a murder they didn't commit, The Warriors have to get from the Bronx to their home turf in Coney Island, with every gang in New York chasing them. All that stands between The Warriors and their survival are 20 miles and thousands of street gang members (up to 60,000 of gang members). The army of gangs owns the streets and there is no turning back, the Warriors must fight for their lives and learn the meaning of loyalty as danger and uncertainty emerge from the city night.

Features

The Warriors features a well-written story mode and it adds a ton of replayability through extras, such as bonus prequel chapters, and fun GTA-inspired excursions which have you roaming a (much smaller) city. The included Armies of the Night mode is a fantastic homage to classic arcade games; it’s a 2D side-scrolling brawler that features authentic MIDI music and blinking Go signs. When you combine the single player, the arcade games, the side-quests, and the co-op mode, you easily have more than 20 hours of truly compelling game-play. The fighting system is simple to pick up, as it only uses three face buttons for attacks. Through a combination of these buttons, player will find themselves quickly taking down dozens of enemies in variety of ways. It also has Side Missions which includes Turf Invasion (attacking rival gang territory) and Robbin' Hood (earn cash for various members of the local community) and it also comes with incredibly varied game-play such as spray paint tagging. Besides that, there is also the Rumble Mode that provides cooperative and versus multiplayer via Wi-Fi in which you can play as any character from any gang featured in the game and challenge your friends to all out brawls in numerous arena based environments. The Wi-Fi feature is available in all game modes. The Warriors has a control feature war-chief commands for commanding gang members which include commands to 'Destroy Everything' and 'Watch Your Back'. The game also offers player to play as 9 different Warriors with a huge range of visceral fighting styles and deadly combos and it can accommodate from one to two players. The game was developed by Rockstar Leeds and it falls under the genre category of Fighting and Film/ TV tie-in plus it comes with a product dimension weights of 3 pounds (1.4kg).
