Tekken 6

Family Friendly Gaming
10 April 2010
  • Excerpt: Tekken has been steadily fighting its way into the hearts of hardcore gamers for years now. The Playstation 3, and Xbox 360 versions of Tekken 6 brought the series to a new level of realism. Hand held versions are generally scaled down versions that few hardcore gamers enjoy. What about families though? Do families enjoy taking on characters and beating each other senseless with punches and kicks?

Tekken 6

Playstation Illustrated
1 March 2010
  • Excerpt: It's certainly been a while, but Namco/Bandai's long-running fighting series is finally back. It's true that Tekken: Dark Resurrection arrived about a year after Tekken 5 dropped, but have no fear: the portable version of Tekken 6 has arrived hot on the heels of the console versions. Make no mistake: it's an enjoyable title, and Tekken fans will certainly dig it. Of course, this is the kind of stuff critics write before a "but" makes its way into the review.

Tekken 6 PSP Review

Strategy Gaming Online
16 December 2009
  • Excerpt: PSP port seemed uninteresting at first, but when word got out that it'd be very similar to the home console versions, I had to check it out. Fighting games do often wind up very well suited to a portable system, as the quick bouts and short-attention-span action are perfect for when you're spending fifteen minutes waiting at a doctor's office or in a parking lot.

TEKKEN 6 - PSP - Review

GameZone
7 December 2009
  • Excerpt: With Tekken 6 on PSP, Bandai Namco is trying to emulate the tremendous success it saw from Tekken: Dark Resurrection, the PSP version of Tekken 5. Dark Resurrection was critically lauded, and a commercial success as well, but has Bandai Namco made lightning strike twice? The short answer is yes. Tekken 6 on PSP is a brilliant fighter. What you might not expect however, is that for many gamers this may actually be the definitive version of the game.

Tekken 6 PSP

GameTrailers
4 December 2009
  • Excerpt: After slugging its way from coin-ops to consoles, the Tekken series arrives on the handhelds once more, bringing its sixth installment to the PSP. The scale may be smaller, but the spirit of the fight is no doubt intact, along with the tight controls, core features, and all of the fantastic fighters that you'd expect from a complete Iron Fist experience. Comparatively speaking, Tekken 6 isn't one for frills.

TEKKEN 6 - PS3 - Review

GameZone
31 October 2009
  • Excerpt: I remember it like it was yesterday. I was at E3 ’09 and, after being told that my next meeting would be starting a little late, I looked around the enormous room and saw something truly spectacular. It wasn’t a booth babe or some unique attraction. No, this little beauty was something much rarer, especially in America: a real-life Tekken 6 machine. So big, so beautiful, so capable of making grown men cry.

  • Excerpt: Tekken fans have reasons to rejoice now that the latest installment of the 3D fighting franchise has arrived but gamers who haven't closely followed the series may be wondering what Tekken 6 has to offer them. We sent reviewer Andrew Hayward into the ring to find out how this brawler stacks up and he found it to be a worthwhile experience for both diehards and casual fighting fans alike.
