Summary: Couldn't get the microphone attachment to work at all, so all a complete waste of time and money as the language games cannot be played without it. I may have just been unlucky and I guess I could have sent it back if I could be bothered, so maybe you'll have better luck than me.
Summary: This product is not intended to start learning a language or to replace any other learning method. But it is definitely a fun way to help your study. Remember: although this is a game, studying is never that fun!
Summary: Purchased this game hoping that it would be a fun way to learn basic phrases in other languages for travel etc. Gets frustrating and boring quickly as the scores it gives you are really inconsistant. Navigation between menus and game modes is poor. Not much entertainment value.
Summary: I thought it was quite "groovy" but got very little use from my teenage "reluctant language learner". Get an ipod touch and down load some of the free language games - they have a lot more impact. [ Get an Ipod touch anyway - they are the business!
Summary: This game is suitable and frustrating for perfectionists! Max the bird is really specific in what you say, but once you get it right the satisfaction is immense. In my opinion, it's best played in numbers where a group of friends can laugh at each other and cheer when they finally get it right. It's well worth the money; my friends are now talking of getting the game since it's a highly entertaining and interactive way of learning a new language.
Summary: When i first bought this game i thought it was gonna be great and the microphone looked really cool but when i played on it it was so rubbish the micro phone didnt work so i went on the game mode which i thought might be a bit of fun but i went on it and all it did was say a couple of phrases and u had to chose the right translation how stupid is that and the bird called max really bugged me.
Summary: This game is really great, it has helped with some basic language for Spansish and French. Although the Japanese is very hard in the Pronunciation Game. The Translator mode is brilliant and although often does not translate directly from voice does have a good stock of phrases that are useful. Some more emphasis on games would be good but that is my only real criticism.
