Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow

Playstation Illustrated
16 December 2008
  • Excerpt: After a rough time on the PS2, Syphon Filter came to the PSP and immediately wowed just about everyone who played it. The game not only managed to squeeze in excellent visuals that showed what the system could do, but it also managed to put together a great control setup that was able to bypass the system's lack of dual analog control.

Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow

The Gamers Temple
23 May 2008
  • Excerpt: By Kevin "Berserker" Hall Player(s): 1-8 Memory: 624 KB Wi-Fi Compatibility: Ad Hoc, Infrastructure Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow is the follow up to last year's Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror that ushered in a new camera and control system for the Syphon Filter series in order to fit the PSP control setup. Dark Mirror was received with much praise and helped to showcase the way a third person action game should be controlled with the lack of a right analog.

Syphon Filter: Logan`s Shadow

Game Over Online
11 October 2007
  • Excerpt: Last year, the Syphon Filter series infiltrated the PSP with Dark Mirror, a game that continues to rank among the handheld system’s best. Now Gabe and his team of agents are back in Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow. Can this latest mission live up to the high standard set by Dark Mirror? The answer is a resounding yes. I’m telling you, if Sony Bend continues to come up with new Syphon Filter installments at this rate, stealth action fans are going to be one spoiled bunch.

Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow

Project COE
2 October 2007
  • Conclusion: The voice acting is exceptional as the actors aren’t just speaking English. You’ll hear Arabic, Chinese and Russian, and the work done is just as impressive in those languages as it is in English. The soundtrack is wonderfully composed and adds a whole new dimension to the gameplay. As you sneak around, the music slowly goes into a moody claustrophobic tone and when things really start to heat up, the crescendo kicks in and gets your heart pumping.

Syphon Filter: Logans Shadow Review (PSP)

15 February 2008
  • Excerpt: Don’t hide this in the shadows! For a long time I have avoided the whole stealth em up genre. In fact, I can trace it back to playing Metal Gear Solid on the original Playstation many moons ago. I just didn’t get it. As a hardened Duke Nuke ‘em 3D and Quake player, the whole idea of slowly creeping around, avoiding conflict where possible and generally not running about like a nut case just didn’t make any sense.
  • Pros: Music, Graphics, Script… Everything!!
  • Cons: Um, it’s not free?
