Excerpt: The worst thing I can point out about Splinter Cell Essentials is the silly name. Essentials makes me think of herbal shampoo or daily vitamins, and there's definitely nothing sexy-spy-spy about that imagery. If that's the worst I can say, you know the rest can't be very bad... The real line on Splinter Cell Essentials is that it makes me almost recant my theory that sequelitis is the dark side of gaming.
Conclusion: Though this isn’t the best title to date within the Splinter Cell series, it is a definite offspring of the acclaim franchise. There were a few hits and misses within the visuals, sound, and gameplay mechanics, but overall is still an enjoyable experience. If you had to choose between this title and Chaos Theory for the DS, this would definitely be the choice for gamers and die hard Splinter Cell nuts.

Leading up to the fourth console title, Double Agent, Essentials tries to fill in any gaps left open by Sam Fisher’s shady career.

Nach mehreren weiteren Teilen für PC, PS2, N-Gage und DS erschien jetzt Splinter Cell: Essentials für die PSP.
