Summary: when I bought this game I thought i would be just like SC4 minus the graphics, well the gameplay is just like it, the button inputs and moves are about the same for your character for sc4 which is good except for the button response is slow so you can hardly get any hits in. but the main problem is the main menu game modes are awful. There's the "gauntlet" which is basically a " tutorial adventure" which is pointless.
Summary: I have been playing Namco's famed fighter since Soul Blade on the Playstation and the original Soul Calibur on Dreamcast and own every iteration that has come out. Honestly overall I can say this is the weakest of the series. Do not take this the wrong way, there are a few of positive things to say about this release but there is just not enough to keep it out of the bargain bin. First the graphics rival that of the PS2, which are really beautiful.
Summary: NO STORY MODE NO ONLINE MODE NO CHARACTER BIOS NO MOVIES There is no depth in this game. i never got to play the soul calibur series as much but i thought this game could introduce me to it in a great way but i was wrong. the games mechanics is still good but it seems they did not put as much effort into this game as they should and i felt disrespected since they did not bother to put more into this game
Summary: The game lacks of fun, once again most of the characters have change in some way the command list, you can not expect to just to select you favorite character in SC3 and play it the same way, and just learn the new moves, this is irritating. If your expecting solo entertainment, well... no story mode, have some challenges, if you're new to the game might be helpful, if you already know all the game mechanics...
Summary: Great visuals, sound fighting mechanics, but really no reason to keep playing. This game is just far, far behind the other games on the PSP in this genre. Go buy Dissidia or wait another month for Tekken 6. All in all, its basically not worth your time to play made-up create-a-characters over and over and over so you can collect their names. The gauntlet is interesting but not innovative.
