Summary: I have recently been considering getting myself a PSP. My friend came over today and apparently brought his along, so I decided to play it. More specifically, I played this game. Being a fan of Sonic's handheld escapades, I was hoping this would be an at least decent play. OH DEAR GOD WAS I WRONG!
Summary: I've never liked Sonic very much. However, when got this game from my wife I decided to give a try. Well, for me it is still not so fun as playing Mario or CTR (Crash Team Race). So, I don't recommend it.
Summary: This is the tried and true sonic. Sure there are some different modes, but it's still old Sonic. I should have just bought the Sega Games Classic Collection instead, it has sonic plus a bunch of other fun ones.
Pros: It's sonic...
Cons: Terrible camera angles. You can't see where you are a third of the time. Mandatory update on Firmware, I dont like being forced into patching. Which is probably where the other reviewer here ran into trouble.
Excerpt: Sonic Rivals is a game I desperately wanted to like, for it has a few good ideas, but is ultimately sullied by its more lazy gameplay elements, making for a frustrating, not too enjoyable experience.
Excerpt: Sonic rivals unfortunately is not a very exciting game. At best it reminds you on the old sonic games that used to be good like the ones you used to play on the super nintendo. The gameplay is not great, you simple have to beat your opponent in every level which is very repetitive.
