Summary: Loved this PSP game. Played it back to back with Silent Hill Origins. It started out very boring and the graphics were less than impressive, but then suddenly... WOW! It just took off! The frozen scenes when the city is covered in ice scared the sh*t out of me (and I don't scare easily). The conversations with the female cop and the slutty, mysterious girl were compelling. Wandering around the city was engaging with many different landscapes and neighborhoods to explore.
Summary: At first I was hesitant about playing any game on the PSP but thought I'd give it ago! I'm so glad I did. After getting used to the controls, it was a piece of cake. As I'm a great fan anyway of the Silent Hill franchise I was already onto a winner with this game. Although keeping true to the original PS 1 game with character names and so on, it had some really interesting new ideas and takes on the story.
Summary: CONTAIN SPOILERS I'm not really a gamer, I'm 43 years old and my first exposure to the gaming world (as an adult) was less than two years ago when I decided to buy a PSP, only because I was getting bored of always going out to clubs, even then I only owned two games - Namco Museum Classics (obviously for my age) and Smash Court Tennis 3. I had never heard of Silent Hill until recently I stayed in on a Sat night and saw the film on Film4.
Summary: Not only is this the best game i have ever played on the PSP, i would consider this game to be one of the best of all times. The story keeps you wanting to play more and more, whilst the chilling sound effects and brilliant graphics will make you not want to put this game down at all. I have never finished a game where once the credits have come up i have felt i wanted to play again anytime soon, however with this one i just couldnt help myself.
Summary: I have never played a Silent Hill game before, though the franchise has always interested me. I bought the PSP version of 'Shattered Memories' on a saturday and had finished it by monday- I simply couldn't put it down! It was excellent. I thought the ice- ridden 'Nightmares' were very well structured, the fact that you can't fight back and that you have no option other than to run added to the atmosphere, they never failed to set me on edge!
Summary: Picked this game up in an airport for a night flight, one of the best PSP games I have ever played. You can put it down and pick it right back up again. The story is engrossing and the title says it all. I also liked the interaction with objects and some of the puzzles are nice and challenging. The only negative thing I can think of is that it sometimes felt closed in for having a map the size of a town. But....
